17 years on from its release, Pixel TV continues to grow in relevance and legacy, an archive on the frontlines, capturing the shoots of an art form and its participants – many of who would go onto define the sound and culture of contemporary British music. Pixel TV is a relic of a golden era, its footage a timestamp of a generation of kids in the deepest waters of South London channelling their experiences into song.
