Ohio Hog Farmers are proud to have donated over 1,000,000 meals of pork to local food banks.

Our mission is to provide consumers with nutritious and delicious pork by giving our animals the best care while protecting the environment for future generations.

7000 BC - Pigs become one of the first domesticated animals

1539 - Hernando de Soto introduces the first hogs to North America when he brings 15 pigs with him to Florida

1863 - Cincinnati is nicknamed "Porkopolis" because it was a major pork processing plant along the Ohio River

2014 - Ohio has more than 4,100 hog farms, all owned and operated by families
