exilio
Exilio, founded by Koji Sakano and Ann Chen, is a Los Angeles-based cappella octet. Founded when Ann and Koji were students at the University of Southern California (USC), the group's name has two meanings: "ex Ilio" means "from Troy," symbolizing their USC Trojan founding; and "exilio" which means "I spring forth". The group features music by marginalized and underrepresented composers throughout history, as well as rising composers, seeking to help both spring forward into the public consciousness.
