Boxing is a combat sport in which two opponents wearing gloves punch each other in a ring for a predetermined amount of time. The objective of the sport is to land punches on the opponent while avoiding being hit oneself. Points are awarded for clean punches landed on the opponent's torso or head, and the boxer with the most points at the end of the bout is declared the winner. Boxing is governed by various organizations such as the International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Association (WBA), and World Boxing Council (WBC). It is also a popular form of exercise and a means of self-defense.
