This channel's only intention is to share some history of Curaçao's Tumba festival. This is a musical competition where the roadmarch for the carnival parades in Curaçao is elected. It started in 1971 with 10 participating songs. Nowadays it is a 4-night festival. This musical festival has been existing for over 50 years and is one of the few musical competitions in the world to have lasted for so long. The festival was suspended in 2021 and 2022 due to the covid-19 world pandemic.
