Avatar Meher Baba (25 Feb 1894-31 Jan 1969) was "The Silent Awakener" or "God in Human form" The Avatar of our Age. The unique aspect of this advent as Avatar was for the first time in human history, the Avatar descended at a time where His life and work could be documented directly,

Meher Baba stressed the importance of the Creative Arts, especially Cinema and He was invited to visit Hollywood in 1932 by Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford who arranged a private reception for Him at their mansion 'Pickfair'.

During the reception Baba told them, "I do not need to tell you who are engaged in the production and distribution of motion pictures what a power you hold in your hands, nor do I doubt that you are fully alive to the responsibilities which the wielding of that power involves. He who stimulates the imagination of the masses can move them in any direction he chooses, and there is no more powerful an instrument for stimulating their imagination than motion pictures."
