Mandy has well over 40 years of experience in rescue/ rehabilitation of native and pet birds, small marsupials and lizards.
Mandy has recently released a fiction novel MY HEART MY BLOOD. A Greystoke legacy volume.
"They just seem to find me. We go on holidays and a bird with an injury just waddles over. Or someone will be telling a shopkeeper that they just found an injured bird. I always seem to be in the right place at the right time to help out." It's uncanny. My hubby just rolls his eyes when it happens.
So I created areas around our property to make them feel in as natural an environment as possible while they recouperate, some stay around for years, bringing babies back to visit. I have some return that I have taken further afield to release where they came from. I get so much satisfaction seeing them back in the wild.
