Jyoti gill started her singing career from childhood. She learned basics of music from her father Sh. Billu Gill ji because her father was a famous religious singer. Due to passionate about singing in the age of playing, she joined her father in ‘Jagrans’. This passion become a profession when her first album ‘Hor sataouna theek nahi’ released in the year 1999. With this album jyoti become first female singer of indian punjab who singed ‘Qawali’. This album was a big hit thst time and public enjoyed Jyoti’s voice. Doordarshan’s punjabi channel DD-punjabi broadcasted this qawali without any charges so many times.

So many Indian societies, clubs, organisations and Jagran committees awarded Jyoti with ‘Best Singing Award’ and ‘Narinder Biba’ awards.
