Cape Independence Advocacy Group (CIAG) | Cape Town | Western Cape | South Africa
The CIAG is campaigning for the Western Cape to democratically and peacefully break away from South Africa and to form a new sovereign state, 'The Cape of Good Hope'. (Cape Independence).
Three decades of election results have demonstrated that the Western Cape is ideologically distinct from the rest of South Africa. Whilst the DA provincial government has been able to outperform the rest of South Africa in many areas, it is still forced to implement ANC national government policies which Western Cape voters have explicitly rejected. The consequences are unemployment, poverty and crime.
Only when they can elect the government of their choice, and be able to hold it to account, can the Western Cape people, regardless of their race, religion or culture, truly prosper. Cape Independence (secession) will deliver this. The Western Cape would have functional democracy.
