Carved In Stone: The Canadian Cemetery Podcast
Dead Canadians Carved in Stone: The Canadian Cemetery Podcast is spearheaded by Toronto-based historian and museum professional, Stephanie Allen. Stephanie is often joined by regular contributors who are dedicated to researching cemeteries and documenting the final resting place of Canadians who have made a difference. It is about celebrating Canadian achievement and marking the lives of those who have had a positive impact on Canada.
The Dead Canadians project was founded out of a love for history and exploration. It was conceived to highlight some famous Canadians, along with a biography, their claim to fame and a map to their final resting place.
Our research interests vary and include genealogy, pioneer cemeteries, headstone iconography, social history, locating the graves of Victoria Cross recipients, former Prime Ministers and NHL Hall-of-famers.
Discover some of the fascinating Canadians and find out where they are now.
