About Save Our Sperrins
Welcome to the official channel of Save Our Sperrins — a grassroots campaign protecting the Sperrin Mountains in Northern Ireland from the threat of industrial gold mining.
We are local residents, farmers, artists, environmental defenders, and ordinary people standing together to safeguard our clean water, pure air, healthy soil, and ancient landscapes. With over 27% of the North now covered by prospecting licences, our fight is urgent—and growing.
Here you’ll find:
• First-hand stories from the frontline
• Updates from the campaign and Public Inquiry
• Educational explainers on mining, biodiversity, and legal rights
• Solidarity messages from global movements
• Creative resistance: music, art, poetry, and protest
This is more than a local issue. It’s about who gets to decide the future of our land—and who benefits.
Subscribe, share, and join us. Because once the land is gone, it’s gone.
