I am Cheng Yen-Ling, soul artist and founder of J.Y.L Carving School.
I specialize in Baroque oil painting, with canvases up to 410 cm. My themes span “The Birth of the Prince, The Four Oceans, Shan Hai Jing, Horse-Head Fiddle,” and more symbolic visions.
From 2006 to 2025, I traveled to 9 European countries, 65 museums, 116 on-site studies, investing over NT$5 million to learn classical art.
In 2022, I was invited to exhibit at Agora Gallery in New York, where the media called me “the painter who walked out of the museum.”
Starting 2025, I launch a 300 cm live painting project in Kaohsiung, and plan open-air creations in Vienna.
