Healthy Populations Institute

Healthy Populations Institute (HPI), formerly AHPRC, is located at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada. It is a leading centre of excellence for population health and prevention research that informs policies and programs aimed at improving the health of Canadians.

Established in 1993, HPI research scholars have successfully competed for over $65 Million in research funding for a wide variety of projects, programs and other research-related activities.

HPI is supported by the Faculties of Health Professions, Dentistry and Medicine at Dalhousie University and research funding typically comes from granting agencies including (see existing list but take out CHSRF, HRDC and Health Canada)
