Sasan Kaveh

Sasan Kaveh is a self-taught artist with a diverse background in music, film, sound design, and acting. Interested in filmmaking, especially directing, he began his artistic journey in the 90s with music, continuing afterwards with various instruments. With a move to Belgium, he co-founded the avant-garde music group MIRABOTAN with a few friends, where he played music and engaged in sound engineering.
After returning to Iran, he entered the field of film sound recording and unexpectedly began acting with an offer for a short film role. He now lives and works in Bali with his wife Mira, also an artist, pursuing cinematic activities.
Together, they have made films, including the short documentary "Wawan" and the short fiction film BORDER. The film BORDER, inspired by Sasan's memories of a trip to Europe and passing through the forests of Bosnia,This film was recently selected for the competition section of the Balinale International Film Festival.
