The Center for IP Understanding
The Center for Intellectual Property Understanding (CIPU) is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization that raises awareness about the purpose of IP rights and their impact on people, business and society. CIPU provides outreach to improve IP understanding and promote sharing. It holds events, such as the annual IP Awareness Summit(R), curates IPBasics.org, an example-driven information portal, and hosts ‘Understanding IP Matters,’ the top-rated IP podcast series in its third season that provides a platform for successful creators and executives to share their IP story.
CIPU tracks attitudes towards patents, trademarks and copyrights, and trade secrets, and seeks to provide a framework for how IP supports creators, promotes sharing and generates jobs.
