I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and my first job was interning at a 3D scanning company in the sawmill industry. That summer gig led to an engineering degree, a patent, global travels, and a deep dive into wood processing.
The deeper I went, the more I realized:
1) This industry does so much good for the planet—yet most people think the opposite.
2) The career opportunities are incredible.
3) The people, their stories, and the machines are just plain cool.
From the framing in your house to the box on your doorstep, wood touches nearly every part of life—but most people never see the journey from forest to finished product.
That’s why I launched Wood World.
Today, I run a Koval, a digital marketing agency serving the wood products industry and this channel, where I travel to forests, sawmills, factories, and logging operations to tell the real stories behind the work that makes our world a better place.
