Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh
"Exploring and explaining the world of plants for a better future."
That's our mission. Without plants, there would be no life on earth. The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) has been growing and studying plants for over 350 years, and today undertakes vital work in 40 countries worldwide, helping to document and conserve the planet's diversity of plantlife.
Apart from being a world renowned research institute, RBGE is also a place of learning and relaxation. We run a diverse range of adult and schools education courses, and our four Gardens, at Edinburgh, Benmore, Dawyck and Logan, are among Scotland's most popular visitor attractions.
