Thanasis Petrakis

A three time national Emmy winner, Thanasis has worked with professional sports leagues such as the NBA, MLB, NFL, MMA and boxing.

Since 2003, Thanasis has primarily worked alongside NBA Entertainment and was a of the Emmy nominated documentary, “The Dream Team.” In addition, he filmed and produced NBA TV’s signature all access show “The Association.”

Shortly after college Thanasis founded the company Fresh Focus Productions with colleague Rob Carbuccia. Fresh Focus concentrates on filming and producing musicians, models and professional athletes in the New York area. In 2009, Thanasis directed his first documentary “The Blackout”, which went viral with over 1 million hits.

In 2011, Thanasis captured a piece of basketball history when he filmed Kevin Durant scoring 66 points at Rucker Park, a video with over 5 million hits and later used in a Nike commercial campaign. In 2013, Thanasis filmed for Showtime’s premiere sports show “All Access” starring Floyd Mayweather Jr.
