Yoshihiro KONDO - Official

Yoshihiro Kondo won a second prize in the Japan Music Competition in 1987. He studied with Gerhard Oppitz in Munich. His debut recital at the Casals Hall in Tokyo in 1995. Since then, he has performed at recitals held at many major Halls, including the Suntory Hall in Tokyo and Festival Hall in Osaka. He also appeared at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall in New York in 2004, and gave a recital at Musikverein Brahmssaal in Vienna in 2006. In 2010, he participated with the international Chamber Music Festival Euroart Praha together with the Martinu String Quartet. In 2016, He gave a solo concert in the Max Joseph Hall in Munich, and played for the first time in the Great Hall at the Wiener Musikverein, presenting Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5. He has released a total of 30 CDs on DENON, PHILIPS, DECCA etc. He has performed as a soloist with a number of famous orchestras and internationally renowned conductors including Cristian Mandeal, Thomas Sanderling and Neeme Järvi.
