Darya Allaf

I am a trained musician, a painter and documentary film-maker. I have worked professionally with film and film-editing since 1996. During this time I've gained experience producing a number of films - both documentaries and fiction-films. As of Late, I have begun to appreciate the importance and advantages of having such a diverse background within the Arts.

The Art of Film has been particularly inspiring for me, because of it's nature to encompass and to bridge other art forms. The most vital thing for me has always been the importance of "the important story". Story-telling is essential to me; it is a way of defining and making sense of the world we live in. Whether it be a reflection of my own experience, one shared or that of another the telling is what matters.
