Land Training (Civil Engineering)
In this course, I will teach you how to perform basic due diligence necessary to prepare a level 1 Preliminary Site Plan for a residential or commercial development. In order to draw a proposed development correctly in AutoCAD or Civil 3D, one must fully understand the property size and shape, physical and environmental constraints that affect the property, local, state, and federal laws that affect the development of the property, as well as the typical configurations of development that will be desired by the developer or land owner. We will review these components and teach you how to navigate each of these components and then we will teach you the specific drafting techniques necessary to prepare a professional preliminary site plan.
