Dario Orabona Cellist

Dario Orabona earned his diploma in Cello performance at the 'San Pietro a Majella' Conservatoire (Naples).

While pursuing his studies, he attended the highly advanced Chamber Music Course at the Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia in Rome under the guidance of Rocco Filippini.

He has won numerous national and international competitions and has held many concerts in principal national and international cities, including Lisbon, Athens, Stockholm, London, Cambridge, Oxford, Strasbourg, Zurich, Basel, Nottingham, Cairo, Alexandria, Stuttgart, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Brussels, Budapest, and Vienna.

He has attended advanced cello courses under Andrea Noferini, Tamas Varga, Mischa Maisky, and in Baroque performance under Anner Bijlsma.
As a recording artist, he has performed for Stradivarius, CPA, Real Sound, RAI, Mediaset and Japanese TV.
He plays a cello John Furber 1810 London. He works at the San Carlo Theater in Naples and is a teacher at the Naples Conservatory.
