Nizar Dahmani is a Moroccan American drummer composer known for blending traditional Arabic rhythms with global styles. Born 01-06-1996 in Jemaat Shaim, Safi, morocco he began drumming at 10 and taught himself through deep cultural immersion. Nizar has performed across the U.S., Europe, and the Arab world, collaborating with top artists around world
He was the first drummer in the Arab world to perform a solo show on national TV (2M) and offer drumming lessons in Arabic on YouTube. In 2022, he performed with Grammy-winning band Snarky Puppy, became a Vater Drumsticks artist, and later joined the Paiste Cymbals roster.
Since moving to the U.S. in 2019, Nizar has led workshops at NYU, Columbia, Yale, and more. In 2024, he became a U.S. citizen. Through live shows and online education, he continues to inspire and connect cultures through rhythm.
