Maskit Israel Clarinet Choir

The Israeli Clarinet Choir Maskit, musically directed and conducted by Shlomi Rav-Hon, is a group of about 20 amateur musicians, who play clarinets of various sorts (from piccolo to double bass).

The choir, which is the only one of its' kind in the country, is characterized by a unique melody that matches the atmosphere of organ playing. The choir performs a large variety of music. The heart of the choir's repertoire is classical music and Israeli music, but music from other genres is also included. Since only a few musical pieces have been written for a clarinet choir, most of the musical pieces performed by the choir are adapted from pieces originally written for symphonic ensembles or others.
