The Highty Tighties
The official page for the Virginia Tech Regimental Band- The Highty-Tighties
Founded in 1893, the Highty-Tighties (HTs) have been marching in parades and shows for over 120 years. Our unique band is one of two student marching bands at Virginia Tech. All members of the band are members of the VT Corps of Cadets.
The HTs are the oldest student organization at Virginia Tech, and the oldest collegiate band in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The HTs have marched at many prestigious events and parades including: Multiple Presidential Inaugurals, Macy's Day Parade, St. Patrick's Day Parade in Savannah, Mardis Gras Parade in New Orleans, and many more.
