Limerick Writers' Centre

The Limerick Writers’ Centre, now based at The Umbrella Project, 78 O’Connell Street in Limerick City, is a non-profit organisation established in 2008 and is one of the most active literary organisations in the country. We endeavour to bring ideas about books, literature and writing to as wide an audience as possible, and especially to people who do not feel comfortable in the more traditional arts/literature venues and settings.
At the Centre we share a belief that writing and publishing should be made both available and accessible to all; we encourage everyone to engage actively with the city’s literary community. We actively encourage all writers and aspiring writers, including those who write for pleasure, for poetic expression, for healing, for personal growth, for insight or just to inform.

The Director of the Centre is Dominic Taylor ably assisted by a board of directors and volunteers.
