Greg Basco is a Costa Rica-based professional nature photographer who specializes in Latin America. When not leading and scouting workshops for his company Foto Verde Tours (Costa Rica’s first photo tour company!) he’s out photographing for his own projects, writing magazine article, producing videos for his YouTube channel, or writing e-books such as his most recent, the comprehensive new work Flash for the Nature Photographer. His latest work in progress is his second edition of the printed coffee table photographic book National Parks of Costa Rica in conjunction with Zona Tropical and Cornell University Press.
His images have been awarded in the Veolia Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Nature's Best Windland Smith Rice competitions and have appeared in numerous magazines and books around the world. He has enjoyed working relationships with Canon, Godox, and ThinkTank.
