Yunus Emre Institute

Yunus Emre Institute (Turkish: Yunus Emre Enstitüsü) is a public foundation established in 2007 to promote Turkish language, culture, and arts internationally. Named after 13th-century poet Yunus Emre, the Institute aims to foster cultural exchange and strengthen ties between Türkiye and other countries. With over 90 branches worldwide, it serves as a platform for education, dialogue, and artistic collaboration.
The London branch, opened in 2010 and located in Fitzrovia, offers Turkish language courses, cultural events, and an academic library. It partners with universities and cultural institutions across the UK to support mutual understanding through exhibitions, performances, and research initiatives.
By sharing Türkiye’s rich cultural heritage and contemporary creative output, the Institute contributes to intercultural dialogue and builds lasting relationships between communities.
