Welcome to the original, the biggest and maybe the most influential level crossing channel where safety and efficiency are far more important than how loud an alarm is or how much money the channel makes. Here you will find justified criticism, where appropriate, of how Network Rail operates its level crossings and spends huge sums of public money. There are over 1,500 different road crossings on this channel. If you live anywhere in the UK (except the top of Scotland or NI), or if you live in western Belgium all your local crossings are on this channel. Importantly, factual information on each crossing is provided with criticism when crossings are operated poorly, millions of pounds have been wasted or there are safety issues.
