SBN Ethiopia

The Sesame Business Network (SBN) is largely an informal innovation network in northwest Ethiopia that is driven by local entrepreneurs and other stakeholders working in the sesame production and business sector. Building blocks of the SBN are Sesame Business Clusters (SBCs). The overall goal: to work for competitive, sustainable and inclusive sesame sector development for farmers’ income improvement and spill-over effects. To achieve its overall goal, the SBN and its support project-BENEFIT-SBN focus on three primary outcomes: (1) production cost price reduction; (2) product and market development; (3)strengthened enabling environment for the Ethiopian sesame sector.
