Finding Our Voice is a portrait of Australian art music now. It commissions new musical works, and presents standalone live performances for audiences in locations across the country, celebrating Australia in sound,
In the not-too-distant-future, Finding Our Voice will be able to be experienced digitally, creating and sharing experiences, skills and resources online with diverse audiences and communities. Performance footage, interviews, commentary, insights into creative processes will sit alongside activities stimulating participation — deepening musical engagement and equipping people to express their own creativity.
Central to Finding Our Voice is the recognition that music comes from many voices and can be experienced in many formats. Australia’s diverse population is reflected throughout Finding Our Voice - in the art that is created, the musicians who perform it, the hosts that present it, and the people who experience it.
