Minerals Rock! is a YouTube channel created by Derek Leung to explore the earth sciences (geology and mineralogy) and beyond by digging into integrative, unusual, and cutting-edge science. Derek spends his time throwing some rocks (competitive curling) and keeping others (mineralogy and geology) and is currently researching the relationship between green micas and gold deposits at Laurentian University. In his spare time, Derek works on creative projects such as 3D printing, pop-up books, and creative necktie knot tying.
