Pietro Roffi

Italian accordionist and composer born in 1992.
One of the most distinctive voices in contemporary accordion, Pietro Roffi moves between the concert hall, cinema and atmospheric sound worlds of his own. As a soloist and chamber musician he has performed across five continents - from Brazil and China to Australia and South Africa - playing classical repertoire, tango and his original music. In 2018 he debuted with the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, performing a new work written for him by Oscar-winning composer Dario Marianelli for Ennio Morricone’s 90th birthday. The album "1999" received the Orpheus Award for “Best Italian Accordion Album”; "Oltrepassare" (Extended Place / Blue Mirror, 2026), for accordion, strings, piano and electronics, explores movement, memory and belonging. Pietro Roffi’s music is regularly broadcast by BBC Radio 3, WDR 3, Radio France and Rai Radio 3.
