A collection of English country dance videos, with a focus on significant dances done well. Some entries are mainly commemorative or representative of dancing done in specific communities or on special occasions.
It is my sincere hope that seeing this collection of dances will encourage many viewers to try the English country dance as both recreation and a form of participatory art. Perhaps you will be seduced, as I was, by the music and elegant and lively choreography, perhaps the sociability of the dance, and maybe all three. Those who are already English country dancers will find many fine models of dancing to emulate and, I do hope, will be inspired to raise their own dancing to another level. --Paul Ross, ECD teacher, New York City
