Dr. Chris Hoff

I’m Chris Hoff, therapist, teacher, podcaster, and seeker. My work lives at the intersection of narrative therapy, poststructural philosophy, Zen practice, and creative culture. I’ve spent a lifetime exploring how we make meaning in the wake of loss, rupture, and longing.

Beneath the roles I’ve played—therapist, founder, cultural critic, coach—is a deeper throughline: I am a builder of spaces where people can confront the stories that no longer serve them and imagine the futures that might. My path has been shaped by a lifelong search for belonging, for love that didn’t disappear, and for voices that could speak the unspeakable. I’ve taken the ache of absence and turned it into a presence that can sit with others in their most uncertain moments.

Whether through narrative therapy sessions, a podcast conversation, or a retreat in the high desert, my vocation is to midwife transformation. Not to fix, but to accompany. Not to diagnose, but to listen, deeply, politically, poetically.
