Amanda Granstrom

Hi, I'm Amanda 💜

I'm just an artist trying to find peace and beauty in the world. A Buffalonian living in the Oregon wilderness. A Mom of 2. Biologist. Anthropologist. Crafting professionally since 2005. I am always learning.

I'm mostly a fiber artist, from tie dye to spinning yarn to sewing to pleated silk scarves, all focused on dyeing and color theory. I have also been a jewelry artist, from chainmaille to polymer clay to electroformed copper to epoxy resin.

I have explored clay a few times in my life, but this time, I bought a kiln and started making videos! I work in handbuilding mostly slab and pinched and sculpted forms. I collect vintage slipcasting molds, and I taught myself the process of creating with liquid clay.

Follow my journey as I explore cone 6 stoneware, inventing it as I go and learning from the internet. Combining the skills i learned from my mixed media past, experimenting like crazy, and making videos along the way.
