Hi! I’m Mikkel, a biologist, author, photographer and nature sound recordist. This channel is all about my sonic outdoor adventures harvesting ambient soundscapes in nature. I guess it’s just as much about the process of recording the soundscapes and being in the outdoors as the soundscapes themselves.

Join me as I explore the nature sounds of Scandinavia – from the relaxing sound of the whispering winds of winter to the gentle chuckling of little creeks in spring, the calm ambient soundscapes of summer full of birdsong and the soothing pitter-patter of raindrops in the foggy forests of autumn.
