Beck's Philadelphia Brigade Band

We are Beck's Philadelphia Brigade Band, performing authentic music of the Civil War since 1991, in uniforms appropriate to the period and on instruments of the time. We have a library of over 250 period pieces from which we draw for performance. We have performed in a number of states, including Kentucky, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. We provided the brass band music for the movie "Gods and Generals," and are working on the production of our third and fourth CDs.
We have played at the Philadelphia Art Museum, the Philadelphia Zoo and at the Kimmel Center. We have also provided music in Gettysburg for the annual Remembrance Day Parade and dance music for the Blue and Grey Ball since 1992, as well as for various ceremonies during the weekend. Beck's Philadelphia Band also performs as the 12th New Jersey Regiment Band. We are dedicated to the idea of preserving the memory of the sacrifice of those who were killed and maimed in the war.
