Welcome to Chimvukela TV, a channel established to be a conduit through which tales of the Second Chimurenga/Umvukela are told by those who participated in it.
Chimvukela (Chimurenga and Umvukela combined) is a non-partisan and not-for-profit initiative established by young Zimbabweans who include: academics;media personalities; as well as organic scholars and creatives in collaboration with the Ndabaningi Sithole Foundation,
1) As time passes, the generation of men and women who fought in the Chimurenga/Umvukela is passing on. We must document their stories while we have them.
2) The Chimurenga/Umvukela is laden with missing pages that can still be filled by the many freedom fighters still alive today who can share their perspectives. Our goal is for inter-generational connection in a manner that will inspire present and future generations.
3) As young Zimbabweans (and Africans in general) a time has come where we need to tell our own history as lived through our experiences
