Firas Andari فراس عنداري

Firas Andari is a Beirut-based singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, educator, and actor, born in Lebanon in 1997. At 12, he began studying classical Maqam music with Dr. Hayyaf Yassin and Dr. Mustafa Said. Andari is among the few musicians performing and teaching classical Arabic and Maqam music while innovating within the genre. Rooted in the traditional Arabic Maqam repertoire, his work develops a contemporary language without borrowing from other musical genres—a rare approach in modern Arabic music. He regularly performs live concerts in Beirut and internationally. Andari won the AFAC Music Grant in 2022, participated in the OneBeat Lebanon residency in 2021, and recently directed and presented the YouTube series "مقام ومقال", produced by the Arab Thought Foundation. Active on social media, he engages with followers through live performances. As an actor, he starred in the award-winning web series Shankaboot in 2010.
