Dr. Rob Austin McKee
Dr. Rob Austin McKee with MGT.EDU brings lessons about leadership, management, and education out of the classroom and into your living room. Hoping to address a historically underserved segment of the population, Rob provides a Spanish-language version for many videos. Rob is an Assistant Professor of Leadership and Organizational Behavior at the University of Houston–Downtown. He earned his Ph.D. and MBA from the University of Houston. His research has appeared in journals like Journal of Management, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Strategic Organization, and The Leadership Quarterly. Rob works with organizations like the SXSW, Prison Entrepreneurship Program, Empowered Women of Purpose, BakerRipley, and Ion Houston to help startups and entrepreneurs craft more effective pitches. He is a former nuclear reactor operator for the United States Navy and an avid rock climber.
