Irene Sans

I have over 15 years working as a professional meteorologist in various fields; as a Deputy State Meteorologist for the Emergency Management in Florida, and for broadcast television and radio stations in Spanish and English across the United States and Latin America. I worked at the Weather Company (formerly Weather Services International), collaborating with the development of the TruVuMax Ecosystem.

As a meteorology consultant, I have facilitated conferences focused on improving weather communications among the different weather entities in a country and between the media and the public. Weather communications has never been a 9-5 job. Today, digital platforms allow us to go deeper into the science and provide warnings promptly so that the public makes the right decisions when severe weather strikes.

I proudly serve on the American Meteorological Society's Broadcast Board, in the Early Career Professionals Board and I am a NOAA Weather Ready Nation Ambassador.
