James Arena

James Arena is the author of the first and only series of published books to focus on dance music music across five decades. They include FIRST LADIES OF DISCO, LEGENDS OF DISCO, EUROPE'S STARS OF 80s DANCE POP, STARS OF 90s DANCE POP and STARS OF 21st CENTURY DANCE POP AND ED, all published by McFarland & Co.. He has interviewed nearly 200 singers, songwriters, producers, DJs and industry professionals and is a GEMA Foundation award winner for preserving dance music history. His first book was FRIGHT NIGHT ON CHANNEL 9, A Rondo Award nominee for book of the year. James has been featured on FOX-TV, MSNBC, SiriusXM, CBS-FM and other media outlets.
