Tahoe History
Stateline, Nevada, on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe, has grown significantly since the legalization of gambling on March 19, 1931. The U.S. Highway 50 corridor has transformed from a handful of small clubs and saloons into several major high-rise hotel-casino resorts.
