Hi there! We're Carl, Annie, and Emily, along with our furry friends Maple the dog and Tiger the cat. Inspired by countless families sailing and living on yachts around the world, we've decided to embark on our own nautical journey.
Join us as we transition from complete novices to seasoned sailors, navigating the highs and lows of life on the open sea. From our first steps on a yacht to eventually sailing around the globe, we'll share every moment of our adventure.
Expect a mix of family fun, sailing challenges, and the beautiful destinations we discover along the way. We hope our journey inspires you to chase your dreams.
Our boat's name, Skíðblaðnir, is inspired by Norse mythology. Skíðblaðnir is Freyr's magical ship created by the Sons of Ivaldi. It always has favourable winds, can carry all the gods and their armour, but can also be folded up and carried in a pocket. We hope our journey will be just as magical and full of favourable winds!
