Ria was born with a birth mark that looked like a star on her leg. Ria had a rare condition called Kuru the symptoms being Tremors and muscle jerks (Kuru is the Fore tribe’s word for ‘shiver’), headaches and arm and leg pain, difficulty walking and swallowing, progressive and severe coordination problems.
