Founded by Saul Maldonado in 2012, Urban Melody Productions was created to give a platform for up-and-coming artists that did not receive the support they deserved from radio or major record labels. Maldonado, an independent events planner and multi-media marketing consultant, prides himself in the development, management and execution of all aspects of the marketing operations. The savvy entrepreneur, began recording performances in the underground music scene in Los Angeles. Under Maldonado's direction, Urban Melody TV experienced firm success in the event industry. In keeping with the entrepreneurial spirit, Urban Melody TV then expanded its platform, providing exclusive interviews with a variety of artists and personalities. As a result, of interviewing Hollywood celebrities, such as Emilio Rivera, to legends like Art Laboe, Urban Melody TV experienced newfound success.
