Mainz Institute for Theoretical Physics
Our mission at the Mainz Institute for Theoretical Physics (MITP) is to provide unique opportunities for cross-disciplinary exchange between researchers from different fields of expertise in theoretical physics. Our series of scientific programs and short topical workshops attract leading international researchers working in theoretical particle, hadron, atomic and mathematical physics
The scientific activities at MITP are devoted to topics of forefront research in theoretical physics. They are intended to stimulate discussions and collaborations among the participants with the goal of generating new ideas and developing new tools and methods. An annual school provides in-depth training for the future generation of theoretical physicists.
We are committed to increasing diversity in all our activities.
MITP is part of the PRISMA+ Cluster of Excellence.
