DTU Electro
At DTU Fotonik a large group of researchers work to constantly improve and reinvent the future via light technologies in advanced labs and cleanroom facilities. The department focuses on solving the problems that face the global community. We pay special attention to sustainable growth in environmental issues, health issues and the internet of things. For that purpose, we also have a significant part in the three centres of excellence; SPOC, NATEC and CNG.
With tools such as high tech lasers, sensors, infrared, UV light and fibre optics, we can create better technologies for everything from medical products to windmills, and develop the future of communication methods and quantum mechanics.
DTU Fotonik offers three education programmes, including Network Technology & IT (BSc), Telecommunication (MSc) and Photonics Engineering (MSc). It also has a part in Physics and Nanotechnology (BSc + MSc).
