My name is Steven. This is a channel dedicated to old Japanese traditional Kominka and Machiya houses. Purchased a 90-year-old Kyo-machiya in Dec 2020 on a 35-year housing loan. Spent 6-month planning and another 1 year for renovation (through a contractor). The Machiya renovation was completed in April 2022 and is now the home for my family of 4.

I also run the website KORYOYA with Kominka and Machiya properties that are for sale (mainly around Kansai region).
